COVID-19 POLICY

The safety and wellbeing of our guests has always been incredibly important to us and guests who stay with us should rightly expect a safe, clean and protected environment.

Checking-in and social distancing

We have installed self check-in key safe boxes (Masterlock) outside to minimise contact. There is also a hand sanitiser for guest use once in the house. Please adhere to social distancing measures at all times.

Hygiene and anti-viricidal sanitising spray

More frequent cleaning of high-touch areas, such as door handles, handrails, remote controls will be undertaken. This cleaning will be done using antiviral disinfectant effective against Coronavirus; certified to European standards EN1276 & EN14476.

Bed linen

All our linen is washed at 60 degrees. We have also removed all extra pillows and unnecessary bedding.

Breakfast Room

As we are unable to adhere to social distancing guidelines, we will not be serving breakfast until we are advised we can safely do so. Instead a small breakfast consisting of yoghurt, one piece of fruit, a carton of juice and a cereal bar will be left outside each guest room every morning.

Housekeeping

To minimise interaction with guests, if you are staying more than one night, rooms will not be cleaned daily. Cleaning will take place automatically after six days. Towels will be changed every two days when guests are out of the room. Any guests requiring additional milk, tea and coffee, please drop us an e-mail to dalmorelodge@btinternet.com, and we will provide when we are in the guest house.

How is the health of other guests managed? Is there a process for reporting this?

On arrival, every guest is given a letter which clearly outlines our safety procedures including the actions they need to take if they feel unwell and recognise any symptoms of COVID-19. Necessary steps include calling 111 to seek NHS medical advice, notifying us and following self-isolation guidelines.

Tourist Information Literature

We have also removed all tourist information leaflets, books, from the front hall and our rooms to avoid excessive contact. One small piece of literature will be left in each room which will be disposed of after every guest departure. We will automatically email all guests due to arrive our “Important Information” booklet which includes WiFi code etc.

What are your procedures for storing left luggage?

To help minimise touchpoints throughout the guest house, we have suspended our left luggage facility until further notice. Unfortunately, this means guests are unable to leave luggage with us at any point during their stay.
